Senior Consultant

Sean Murphy is a Senior Project Manager at Flycatcher, LLC, where he offers over 25 years of experience to clients. He is a Certified Environmental Professional with a PhD from the University of Maine and a Master of Environmental Management degree from the Yale School of Environment. He has provided regulatory support and strategic development services for projects throughout the United States, with a focus in the Northeast region.

In his current role, he supports projects from the development stage through to construction. He has direct experience with Section 404 for the US Army Corps of Engineers, NEPA environmental analysis, Section 7 Endangered Species Act, Section 106 historic consultation, and state-level permitting. He regularly appears before municipal planning boards, drawing upon his own experience on the City of Portland’s Planning Board. His expertise includes strong communication skills when interacting with agency, stakeholder, and public audiences.

When not in the office, Sean enjoys exploring Maine and New England with his wife. For outdoor trips they are often accompanied on by Kona, their German Shepherd.
